My Blog

I shoot all over Montgomery County, those areas being (but not limited to) The Woodlands, Magnolia, Conroe, Spring & Tomball.  As a local company I'm an active member in: Montgomery County Association of Business Women, our local 12024 VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars), Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, South Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, Proud Sponsor of Make A Wish, member of NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals), connected with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children & in 2010 started to work with Operation Holidays For Heroes that sends holiday packages over to service members overseas for the holidays.  Currently I'm in the process of getting my SKPA Accreditation (Special Kids Photography of America) & Affiliated Photographer for the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation.

I'm a native Texan, born in Houston  and graduated high school in The Woodlands, then went to college at North Carolina School of the Arts.  I followed that by living in LA for 3 years, working in film & TV makeup effects.  I got to work on movies like Spiderman 2 and Alien vs. Predator, being part of the team that brings those special effects to life.  Yes I loved it, but I love my family more (and I also consider myself a loyal Texan).  So I moved back to Houston to be closer to my family that is still living in The Woodlands.  Coming back I was unsure where life was going and lucky fell back into my first love, photography.  I love what I do, capturing moments in time.

2011 is a great year for myself.  In June I married a great man that sweep me off my feet, James Taylor (no not the singer!).  We're so excited to be newly weds & creating our life together!  James is a former 6 year Air Force vet and now is selling commercial flooring at MEK Floors.  Besides working all the time...he loves to fish & hunt.  My true Texas man!

Working on our wedding as bride/organizer/photographer I feel this has made me a better wedding photographer looking at the whole process from another angle.  I know the stress first hand and try to help my couples with the little things to make their day as smooth as possible.

It seems that I get one question almost every time I tell people what I do: What's your favorite to photograph?  I don't feel like some photographers might, in that I enjoy one subject over another.  But I enjoy the creation process, hearing my clients say "that's amazing", I have tears in my eyes looking at the pictures, "she never _______ for a photographer before" or even better "All of the pictures capture something totally different, how do I choose".  It's my personal goal for every shoot.  I also love to take an entire shoot or a progression (such as a pregnancy) and a create collage.  That contains so much emotion and memories that you can't get in just one picture, I try to make all my clients speechless.  See what a few said click here.

And of course there is my BLOG for you to keep up to date on me, photo tips and current shoots I'm working on!
