My blog is constantly
being updated!!!

Welcome to my blog!
Thanks so much for dropping by my blog and taking a peak.  Now I never claim to know everything, or be perfect, or even being able to spell!  I work really hard to not only be a good photographer, but personal connections to my clients and understanding what they want (especially when they might not know) is something I strive for every day.  In addition I love to help others improve their own pictures.  Let's face it...no one can afford a personal photographer to follow them around 24/7 (but if you do know someone give them my name!).  My blog has a collection of advise, current photo experiences and the personal updates.  I'm ALWAYS in need to know what other people want to hear about, so please email me with ANY suggestions.  Again thanks for stoping by and hopefully you enjoy!

I just got done laying in the back grounds for a dance rectial shoot I did last week for Conroe Parks & Rec.  This was my favorite little girl, she was very shy but just the sweetest look.  This is why I love green screen, you see the original image at the bottom...I had no idea what the costumes looked like so this allows me to not stress about bringing the right backdrop or several backdrops.  I can use a different background for each costume if I want!!!

Look at this adorable cat and she's up for adoption!  She's a mature and the sweetest lap cat.  Declawed, fixed, comfortable around dogs and ready for a new home.  Let me know if you'd like to meet her!!!!

Last Thursday I went to the Montgomery County Youth Services annual Ladies Night Out with a few of my fellow ladies from my women's group, Montgomery County Association of Business Women.  I was upset that I didn't get anything from the sunday bar (not that I needed it!).  By time I was in the mood it was all melted!

Take TONS of shots!  If you're taking a group picture NEVER only take one shot.  The chances that one persons eyes are going to be shut are pretty high.  I take hundreds of pictures in one hour.  Move around, play around and don't be afraid to take too many pictures.  You're not wasting film any more...assuming you're in the digital age of course!

Personalizing your pictures is so important!  This is at my favorite place to shoot (East Shore) and Joshua made the best subject.  He smiled all the time and was such a sweet teenager.  I know that's an oxymoron, but this boy is really going to do well in what ever field he pursues.  It's never too late to have senior portraits taken!

On May 3rd we had our 6th Annual Fiesta Universal with Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber.  It's like a Cinco De Mayo but it's a celebration of all Latin heritage.  Proceeds from Fiesta Universal go toward college scholarships for CISD Hispanic seniors.  Both Congressman Kevin Brady & Superintent Dr. Stockton were there to present certificates to the seniors.

There were tons of FREE things to do...especially for the kids.  But the funniest thing all day was the flauta eating contest.  Here is MCHC Prez Mario trying to keep up with the two that tied for 1st place.

The Hispanic Chamber has no ethnic or language criteria.  There is no requirement of Hispanic or Latin origin or ownership to be a part of, or be involved with, the Hispanic Chamber.  In fact, membership is open to individuals of all races and ethnic backgrounds.  Like me, I've been a sponsor the last two years and I'm the official photographer for the group (and I'm still unable to even say "where is the bathroom" in spanish!)  Want to learn more about MCHC?
